MRI – Biomatrix

Biomatrix is a term used by Siemens Healthineers to describe their MRI technology that uses BioMatrix Sensors and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to adapt to patient variability and help clinicians achieve high-quality diagnostic imaging results.

BioMatrix Sensors are a set of sensors placed on the MRI scanner bed that provide real-time physiological data about the patient’s breathing, heart rate, and other movements. This data is then used by the AI algorithms to adjust the MRI scan parameters in real-time, helping to compensate for patient motion and other variability. This results in more consistent and accurate MRI images, even for patients who may have difficulty holding still or who have complex anatomy.

Siemens Healthineers offers several MRI scanners with Biomatrix technology, including the MAGNETOM Vida, MAGNETOM Lumina, and MAGNETOM Sola. These scanners are designed to support a wide range of clinical applications, including neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology.
