Vitamin D, B12 Levels

Vitamin D and B12 are important nutrients for the human body, and deficiencies in these vitamins can lead to a variety of health problems. Tests to measure the levels of these vitamins can be done through blood tests. The tests commonly used to measure vitamin D levels are the 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) test and the 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25(OH)2D) test. The test for vitamin B12 levels is the serum cobalamin test. These tests can be ordered by a healthcare provider if there is a suspicion of deficiency or as part of a routine checkup.
